1. Point sur l'offensive militaire turque à Afrin, à J33
Malgré le déploiement hier des forces syriennes à Afrin, les forces armées turques et l'armée syrienne libre soutenue par la Turquie ont poursuivi leur progression contre le YPG à Afrin (voir carte). Récemment, les forces dirigées par la Turquie ont capturé plus d'une douzaine de villages du GPJ, selon South Front. D'après Reuters, la Turquie a bombardé dans la nuit de mardi à mercredi la région syrienne d'Afrin, au nord du pays, selon l'OSDH. Selon South Front, "le 21 février, l'armée turque et ses supplétifs de l'armée syrienne libre (ASL) ont capturé les villages de Qara Baba et Kirbet Siluki dans le district de Rajo au nord-ouest de la ville d'Afrin, selon des sources syriennes de l'opposition. Les forces turques ont avancé également au nord d'Afrin et capturé le village de Vergan". Selon Le Dessous des Cartes, ce sont essentiellement des forces non conventionnelles syriennes (à savoir des forces militantes pro-régimes) qui ont été déployées à Afrin. L'Agence Anadolu turque a indiqué que l'armée de l'air turque (TAF) avait pris pour cible plusieurs positions des unités de protection du peuple kurde (YPG) autour de la ville d'Afrin. Selon le rapport, plus de 65 chasseurs du GPJ ont été tués dans les bombardements des FAT. De son côté, la presse de GPJ a annoncé que les combattants de GPJ avaient repoussé plusieurs attaques de l'armée turque et de la FSA contre leurs positions à l'intérieur et autour du centre du district de Jandaris, à l'ouest d'Afrin. Le porte-parole des forces kurdes, Nury Mahmoud, aurait déclaré selon l'agence de presse kurde ANHA : "Après avoir effectué pendant un mois une résistance légendaire de nos forces contre l'armée d'occupation turque et les organisations terroristes alliées; Jabhet al-Nosra, l'Etat islamique et d'autres, en infligeant des dégâts considérables à leur équipement, nos unités ont appelé le gouvernement syrien et son armée à faire leur devoir et à participer à la défense d'Afrin et à la protection de la frontière syrienne contre cette invasion brutale.Et le gouvernement syrien a répondu à l'appel et a répondu au devoir de défense, et a envoyé des unités militaires le mardi 20 février 2018 pour stationner sur la frontière et participer à la défense de l'unité des terres syriennes et de sa frontière "

Despite yesterday's deployment of Syrian forces in Afrin, Turkish armed forces and the free Syrian army supported by Turkey continued to advance against the YPG in Afrin (see map below). Recently, Turkish-led forces have captured more than a dozen YPG villages, according to South Front. According to Reuters, Turkey bombed the Syrian region of Afrin in the north of the country during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday, according to the OSDH. Laut South Front, trotz des gestrigen Einsatzes syrischer Streitkräfte in Afrin sind die türkischen Streitkräfte und die von der Türkei unterstützte freie syrische Armee weiterhin gegen die YPG in Afrika vorgegangen (siehe Karte). Vor kurzem haben türkisch geführte Kräfte mehr als ein Dutzend YPG-Dörfer erobert.Entsprechend  Reuters bombardierte die Türkei die syrische Region von Afrin im Norden des Landes während der Nacht von Dienstag auf Mittwoch, entsprechend dem OSDH.Laut South Front,"Am 21. Februar eroberten die türkische Armee und ihre Stellvertreter von der Free Syrian Army (ASL) die Dörfer Qara Baba und Kirbet Siluki im Distrikt Rajo im Nordwesten Afrin, laut syrischen Quellen der Opposition. Laut Le Dessous des Cartes wurden syrische nicht-konventionelle Kräfte (d. h. regimefreundliche militante Kräfte) nach Afrin entsandt. Auch die türkischen Truppen rückten nördlich von Afrin vor und eroberten das Dorf Vergan". Die türkische Anadolu-Agentur berichtete, dass die türkische Luftwaffe (TAF) mehrere Positionen der kurdischen Volksschutzeinheiten (YPG) rund um die Stadt Afrin angegriffen habe. Dem Bericht zufolge wurden mehr als 65 YPG-Kämpfer bei FAT-Bombardierungen getötet. Die YPG-Presse berichtete ihrerseits, dass YPG-Kämpfer mehrere Angriffe der türkischen Armee und der FSA auf ihre Positionen im und um das Zentrum des Bezirks Jandaris westlich von Afrin abgewehrt hätten. Der Sprecher der kurdischen Streitkräfte, Nury Mahmoud, soll die kurdische Nachrichtenagentur ANHA gesagt haben: "Nach einem Monat legendären Widerstandes unserer Streitkräfte gegen die türkische Besatzungsarmee und alliierte Terrororganisationen, Jabhet al-Nosra, den islamischen Staat und andere, die ihrer Ausrüstung erheblichen Schaden zufügen, riefen unsere Einheiten die syrische Regierung und ihre Armee auf, ihre Pflicht zu tun und sich an der Verteidigung Afrin und dem Schutz der syrischen Grenze vor dieser brutalen Invasion zu beteiligen.Und die syrische Regierung reagierte auf den Aufruf und antwortete auf die Verteidigungspflicht und schickte am Dienstag, den 20. Februar 2018 Militäreinheiten, um an der Grenze zu parken und an der Verteidigung der Einheit der syrischen Länder und ihrer Grenze teilzunehmen.
