Selon l'OSDH rapporté par Press TV, la bataille pour l'Afrique s'enlise, 14 soldats de l'armée turque et des djihadistes payés par Ankara ont été tués dans les dernières 24 heures en Afrique, province syrienne d'Alep.
Selon South Front, les Forces armées turques (FAT) et l'Armée syrienne libre (ASL) ont capturé la ville de Bulbul ainsi que les villages d'Ali Kar, Za'ra et al-Ham des forces kurdes de YPG dans la région d'Afrin. Selon des sources pro-turques, plus de 24 membres des GPJ ont été tués lors des récents affrontements. Des sources pro-kurdes affirment que 20 membres des forces dirigées par la Turquie ont été tués. Le président turc Recep Tayyip Erdogan a également déclaré que 800 soi-disant "terroristes" avaient été tués depuis le début de l'opération "Rameau d'Olivier" d'Ankara dans la région le 20 janvier.
L'AFP commente les images d'une combattante kurde tuée au combat et atrocement mutilée par les rebelles dijadistes supplétifs de l'armée turque. Hier, nous avions repris cette information de Moon of Alabama dans un article au titre éloquent : "les Bachibouzouk d'Erdogan veulent ravager Afrin".
Le 2 février, l'armée turque et ses supplétifs de l'armée syrienne libre (ASL) ont capturé le Mont Darmiq au nord-est de la ville d'Afrin, selon l'Agence Anadolu turque. Des sources turques ont diffusé une vidéo montrant des commandos turcs brandissant le drapeau turc au sommet de Darmiq. L'artillerie turque a soutenu l'armée turque et l'attaque de l'ASL et a pris pour cible les positions et les fortifications des unités de protection du peuple kurde (YPG) au nord-est d'Afrin.De son côté, selon South Front, le GPJ a annoncé que ses combattants ont repoussé une attaque de l'armée turque et de l'ASL sur leurs positions dans le district de Rajo au nord d'Afrin. Les chasseurs des YPG ont tué quatre combattants de l'ASL et détruit un véhicule de l'ASL pendant qu'ils repoussaient l'attaque, selon l'Agence de presse Hawar (ANHA). De plus, des combattants kurdes ont détruit un véhicule de l'armée turque avec un ATGM autour du district de Rajo.
Les tirs de roquettes en représailles de l'intervention turque se poursuivent, selon l'AFP : "Deux personnes ont été tuées et seize autres blessées vendredi dans la chute de roquettes en provenance du nord de la Syrie sur la ville frontalière turque de Reyhanli, a annoncé le gouvernorat de la province. Les deux victimes sont décédées à l'hôpital des blessures causées par les roquettes tirées par les Unités de protection du peuple (YPG), une organisation classée "terroriste" par Ankara, qui a lancé une opération militaire contre elle dans le nord de la Syrie, selon le communiqué publié par le gouvernorat de Hatay, où se situe Reyhanli".
