Selon South Front, "Le 23 mars, l'armée turque et ses supplétifs de l'Armée syrienne libre (ASL) ont capturé les villages de Fefitin, Berceke et Kushin dans la partie sud de la région d'Afrin dans le nord-ouest de la Syrie, selon des sources liées à l'ASL. Actuellement, l'armée turque est maintenant déployée dans un rayon de 6 km seulement de la séparation des zones tenues par les Kurdes au sud de la ville d'Afrin et du gouvernorat d'Idlib. Certaines sources turques ont rapporté que c'est le dernier objectif de l'opération militaire turque dans la région d'Afrin [commencé le 20 janvier]. Les sources ont ajouté que la Turquie ne prévoit pas d'attaquer la ville de Tell Rifaat, à l'est d'Afrin. Des sources pro-gouvernementales et kurdes syriennes ont signalé que des forces importantes de l'armée arabe syrienne (AAS) et des forces de défense nationale (FDN) ont été déployées à Tell Rifaat et à la base aérienne de Mingh, au nord de celle-ci, en vertu d'un accord turco-russe. Cela peut également confirmer que la Turquie n'a pas l'intention d'attaquer Tell Rifaat. According to South Front: "On March 23, the Turkish Army and its proxies from the Free Syrian Army (FSA) captured the villages of Fefitin, Berceke and Kushin in the southern part of the Afrin area in northwestern Syria, according to sources linked to the FSA. Currently, the Turkish Army is now deplyoed within only 6km away from separating the Kurdish-held areas south of the city of Afrin from Idlib governorate. Some Turkish sources reported that this is the last goal of the Turkish military operation in the Afrin area [started on January 20]. The sources added that Turkey is not planning to attack the city of Tell Rifaat, east of Afrin. Syrian pro-government and Kurdish sources had reported that large forces of the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and the National Defense Forces (NDF) were deployed at Tell Rifaat and the Mingh airbase, north of it, under a Turkish-Russian agreement. This may also confirm that Turkey is not planning to attack Tell Rifaat. In response to these reports, thousands of civilians took at the streets in the Euphrates Shield (ES) areas in the northern Aleppo countryside on March 22 to protest against the Turkish decision to stop the military operation without capturing Tell Rifaat."

März eroberten die türkische Armee und ihre Vertreter der Freien Syrischen Armee (FSA) die Dörfer Fefitin, Berceke und Kushin im südlichen Teil der afrikanischen Region im Nordwesten Syriens, laut Quellen, die mit der FSA verbunden sind. Gegenwärtig ist die türkische Armee nur 6 km von der Trennung der kurdischen Gebiete südlich der Stadt Afrin vom Gouvernement Idlib entfernt. Einige türkische Quellen berichteten, dass dies das letzte Ziel der türkischen Militäroperation in der Region Afrin sei[begann am 20. Januar]. Die Quellen fügten hinzu, dass die Türkei nicht plant, die Stadt Tell Rifaat, östlich von Afrin, anzugreifen. Syrische regierungsfreundliche und kurdische Quellen hatten berichtet, dass große Kräfte der syrisch-arabischen Armee (SAA) und der Nationalen Verteidigungskräfte (NDF) auf Tell Rifaat und dem Flugplatz Mingh, nördlich davon, im Rahmen eines türkisch-russischen Abkommens eingesetzt wurden.
